Lyssa Cayenne

The story behind this character is divided into two main parts, the reason of its creation and the character's own backstory.

It all started as some sort of a game between me and my ex, shortly after I got a new Tab S6 lite from Samsung, since it came with a S-pen right out the package. We were on a trip and I had this new tablet with me, so I had this fun idea: I laid down a sketch of a basic female character and then we took turns, drawing one piece each until we got a somewhat final design; then using this new sketch as reference, I tried drawing our character in a more polished way, getting an interesting new result. This game is actually quite tricky, because there's the risk of going too crazy and loosing control on how many pieces are added, but due to every partecipant adding something on their own the result can always be unique and varied in my opinion, as long as you can find a way to tie all the elements together (choosing the character's setting before starting can help in this).
However, we recently broke up after 5+ years, and that happened shortly after my dad's passing, leaving me with a very poor mental state that got me into depression and thus seeking the help of a psichologist. In these days, I recalled this character from memory and wanted to draw her again, giving her a reason... And the reason was the pure, uncontrolled, furious, burning RAGE.

For istance, let's say that rage is a strong, powerful feeling, and when it goes uncontrolled can lead to serious self-harm or damage to others, so what I wanted Lyssa to convey was exactly this: the big glowing arms are in fact her rage, that she tries to hold down by keeping them chained to her own whirsts, but as her anger grows so do the arms, and when the arms are enough big to break the chains... That's when you have to run.
